Monthly Challenge, February 2013

I was pretty excited about the theme for this month’s challenge … Food Photography.

I love food photography. I love looking at images of freshly baked goods, cleverly arranged on beautiful plates, with a pop of color from some fresh linens.

Unfortunately, I learned this past month that a food stylist … I am not. But, of course I was not going to give up quite so easily. I went with option number 2, my trusty macro lens.

Now please head on over here to see how Jo Lien did with her food photography.

Wonderful job with these! Food photography really is harder than one would think. I love the vibrant green and simplicity of the broccoli pictures!

I did this challenge too. Styling is soooo hard if you don’t know all the tricks. Love your macro food shots, especially the broccoli!

LOVE how your broccoli shots turned out! I tried that, but it didn’t look nearly as nice. :)

Awesome! I really like your food photography pictures. I think you could definitely be a food photographer. Now that I have my macro lens, I want to try out food photography again. It was very difficult to achieve what I had in mind without a macro lens.
