How I View … Back to School
I cannot believe how fast the month of September flew by. Take every day life with 3 kids, add in swimming, soccer and dance, then sprinkle in play dates and birthday parties and it is busy enough. Add in preschool and our oldest starting kindergarten and I suppose it is no wonder the month was over in the blink of an eye.
Back to school has always meant a fresh start to me. New books, new supplies – yes, I’m a dork and I love shopping for school supplies. And since our oldest is now in kindergarten he has “real homework” and he is not a homework kid. 10 minutes into homework time and he still hasn’t finished writing his name. The logic in my head is so clear – just sit down and do your homework and you will finish quickly and be back to playing before you know it. I cannot seem to get that message across. But in the end it gets done and he knows the work and does it well. It is just a bit of a journey getting there. I know it is a big adjustment for him (and me) so we will see how it goes next month.

Now head on over to Michelle’s blog to see how she views Back to School.
